My Husband's Grandmother Amy Priscilla Williams was born in December 1902 in Birkenhead to John Henry Williams and Amy Elizabeth Huddart.

I am trying to find a marriage to a man with the surname Smith as she had two children John Henry Williams Smith born 1926 and William Keith McDermid Smith 8th September 1930.

Amy Priscilla Williams Smith remarried in 1963 to Samuel Baird. Can anyone help me find a record of her first marriage please.

Hi Jax

That looks like it could be them. Thanks so much

Hi, Flick
No I don't know what freebmd is will check it out. I'm really not sure about where to look for English BMD's. The Scottish side no problem just use SP. Any tips about which sites are best for English searches would be greatly appreciated. Thank you both again for your help. I will now go and look for a death for him.

Hi Jax

Sorry, yes went to the site, it's great, thanks. I have other people to check I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. Think I found his death in 1947 aged 55 so that would make him born around 1892? Will keep looking, I'll try the 1901 census for Birkenhead see what I can come up with. The records are so much easier to check up here in Scotland just wish the English records were the same. Never mind, getting there. Thanks again for your help. Merry Christmas
