Meant to say that Elizabeth Webster is still down as head of household but not widowed in the 1891 census. She is widowed in the 1901 census. |

Yes, I found this an hour or so back and wasn't sure about it. I'm still finding it hard to navigate the site and to find how to get to replies etc. |

I want to find out what happened to my great grandfather Hugh Duncan. He was probably born 1844 but possibly 1835. Possibly born in Little Neston, Wirral, and then living in Liverpool. Married Ellen Curwen in 1863 and fathered James in 1866 and Hugh who died with his mother in 1871. Hugh then married Elizabeth Webster in 1871 and went on to have 5 children, the last being born in 1884. After that he just vanishes. He was a Master Mariner so perhaps he died at sea? The family seem to have lived in Merseyside but may have Scottish connections with Dunoon. |
