It's the Military Medal which would have had a citation. Unfortunately not many of the citations for the MM have survived for WW1. Worth checking on the London Gazette website for it though, on the off chance.

I don't see him amongst the other records .... but there are loads (hundreds!) of George Wrights, and the information is incomplete on most of them

so it probably means that his service records are among the 70% that did not survive WW2

OK

His medal record is on ancestry ........ the two medals he was awarded were the Victory Medal and the British Medal.

I'm pretty sure that there was no citation with either of these medals, as they were awarded to ALL soldiers who served outside the UK. In fact, the medals were sent out by ordinary MAIL ..... the serviceman had to sign a form that he ahd received the medal and return it to HQ

This is what the ancestry says about these medals:-

Medals awarded during WWI included:

# Allied Victory Medal (Victory Medal) was awarded for service in any operational theater between 5 August 1914 and 11 November 1918. It was issued to individuals who received the 1914 and 1914-15 Stars and to most individuals who were issued the British War Medal. The medal was also awarded for service in Russia (1919-1920) and post-war mine clearance in the North Sea (1918-1919).

# British War Medal was awarded to both servicemen and civilians that either served in a theater of war, or rendered service overseas between 5 August 1914 and 11 November 1918. It was also awarded for service in Russia, and post-war mine clearance in the Baltic, the Black Sea, and the Caspian Sea between 1919 and 1920.

There were of coruse a number of other medals, and some of these would ahve involved citations, eg., Distinguished Conduct Medal (DCM) was awarded to non-commissioned officers for bravery; Distinguished Service Order (DSO) was generally awarded to officers ranked Major and higher for distinguished war service; Military Cross Medal (MC) was awarded to commissioned officers of Captain and below, as well Warrant Officers, for valour during active operations; and, Military Medal was awarded to non-commissioned officers for bravery in land battle

Trying to find out more about George Wright war record.
So far I have :-
Born 1895, Leith, Scotland
Died 14-1-1921
I have his Military Medal which says
78202 BMBR G. WRIGHT 143/SGE By RGA.
Trying to find the citation to go with his medal?
Was it lost in London Blitz in 1940??
SGE = Siege Battery
RGA = Royal Garrison Artillery
143/SGE were in France, August 1916
Any more information would be gratefully received, or help on how to get the information
