trying to find Evan Hughes

I have found him in 1911 and 1901 census but if I go further he seems to disappear
1911 he was at Moelcoediog Uwchygarreg Machynlleth,agd 35 born at Llanidloss
In 1901 he was Caellwyd, Uwchygarreg machynlleth aged24, but place of birth is Llanbrynmair, mont !!!!
Married Jane Pugh in 1900
I have failed to find him on 1891 census
His father was also Evan, and I think his mothr was Sarah
Any suggestions on where I am going wrong would be welcome.

For David, Llanbrynmair comes under Machynlleth
11months old on 1881 census
