Can anyone find the Parents of Ann Jane Davis could even be spelt Davies, born Glamorganshire ,Wales in 1838 ? maybe her father was a John Howell Davis? a school master,her mothers name not knowen to us
Can anyone help as wee are having a family Reunion next week in New Zealand for the Family she married into[ Collett ]and any information would be greatfully recieved.

It is very hard to find her with the information you have given. What are her details for the marriage to Collett?

No i have not found her in any census,Ann had no siblings as her mother died when she was 2 weeks old and her dad when she was 2, She left Wales on the Zealandia for Lyttleton South Island New Zealand with a Mrs Elizabeth Christy in 1863 in 1864 she had meet and Married Henry Collett at St Marys Timaru South Canterbury in New Zealand on 5/4/1864 ,he also was from Newport Wales area, we don't believe she knew him before she sail to New Zealand.
Our ann passed away in New Zealand on the 11/08/1916 at Pleasant Point South Canterbury New Zealand.They had 6 Children and only 3 survived to adults.

Ann also may have lived and worked for a Mrs Jenkins before she left for New Zealand so she may well come up in that house hold in the 1861 Cenus as she left for New Zealand departing London on the 3/9/1863 and arriving 8/12/1863.
Ann 's name is speit Davis on her wedding cert.,but she did sign her name with a cross x her mark ?????
