Can anyone look up if there is a probate listing, or will listing for John Jones died 12th June 1873 in Colwyn Bay aged 71 years.

John was my great, great grandfather and a blacksmith.

Any information would be appreciated. Thank you.

Hi Glitter and Ginny,

Yes i have the death certificate and John died 12th June 1873 at Colwyn Terrace in Old Colwyn, Denbighshire and he was a blacksmith aged 71 years. He was my great,great grandfather.

I dont know if he left a will, but he used to employ 2 apprentice blacksmiths when he worked and always had cottages for the family, a smithy and rented land so he might have as he had 4 sons etc.
