I think Donald had 2 children. Will Pm details, the name is so distinctive you might be able to find them via Friends Reunited and Facebook. Who knows, they might have the answer!

Brummiejan - I'm not sure about that marriage - I was expecting a Williams (male) and Hirst (female). There are a few Williams/Hirst marriges around Huddersfield - is that the right sort of area? Not sure.

Ann - that was my original train of thought when I was looking for a Huby marrying George Williams but nothing I found made much sense. Will have a try for Donald's wife.

There is only one marrige, so we all must have found the same one ! lol

Could Donalds wife had been widowed prior to marrying him......would she have married in previous surname??

Just a thought.

Have found one Hirst/Williams marriage in Bradford following on from Gwyn's idea. Will PM it on the off-chance.

Thanks Brummiejan - it is possible - the only birth I found for Donald huby is 1923 in Leeds.

Gwyn - I didn't think of that - of course, it might be his Donald's wife's sister that George married. George's address on the death cert is 4 Montseratt Road, Bradford. Donald's address is given as Queens Terrace, Otley, W Yorks.

I'm off to do some more searching!

I too have found a possible marriage for Donald.

I was wondering if perhaps his wife was a sister of George's wife. Although not technically a brother-in- law, I think he could have claimed that relationship, if that was the link?

Perhaps finding the electoral lists for 1982 which shows who was also living at the same address as both George and Donald might be a way forward.

I need of a bit of help!

George Robert WILLIAMS was born in Bethnal Green on 21 August 1901. He was baptised in 1904. By 1911 his parents had split up; his mother Phoebe is in a lodging house in Whitechapel and his father, Joseph is living with another woman. George is in Bethnal Green Workhouse School aged 10. His siblings are also in Workhouse Schools and his eldest sister is in service in Huddersfield (where she marries and settles).

I think I have found a death - 1982 in Bradford, Yorkshire. I have a copy of the certificate and his date and place of birth are correct. The informant is a Donald HUBY, brother in law. I would really like to fill in George's life from aged 10 to his death but I am strugglng to find a marriage that matches.

Any help gratefuly appreciated.
