Can you just clarify, you are looking for Margaret Williams' ancestors?

Sorry I did'nt answer one of your questions...several possibilities with John and Margaret on Census' but nothing really concrete...one possibility is Sowhill but the Mothers name is Jane..I feel I would have remembered if my Grandmother Annie had mentioned that name...I do remember her saying a Martha was in the family unfortunately I cannot remember what relation she was...Margaret

Margaret, you may have all the census research, but no one here had seen it.

in order to search fruitfully, all the info available from censues needs to be seen

did you have the 1871 census I suggested? you might have said so then and saved me the time of 'finding' it.

If that is your Margaret, it appears she might have a sister Elizabeth, which could be useful information for searching.
