Hello I wondered if anyone out there could kindly check for 2 deaths on Scotlands people if possible? I'm looking for:-
1. Margaret Anderson born 1837/8 maiden name Rice living in Dennistoun, Glasgow. Husband was John Anderson & Father was Francis Rice & Mother was Agnes Ferguson.
2. Isabella Rice born c.1841? same Mother & Father but possibly married a Mr Scroggie & either died aged 25yrs or was still alive on the 1901 Census.
Thankyou so much, Diane

Diane, Scotland's People is pay per view so we'd have to use credits that we'd paid for.

I've no spare but someone might come along who's feeling generous!

in Scotland, the deaths of women are registered in their maiden name

In Scotland a married woman's death is registered in both her married name and maiden name. You can use both when searching for a death.

Credits only cost £6 for 30 - 1 credit to view search results and 5 to view / download register entry. So for your £6 you could get both deaths and Isabella's marriage and still have a few credits left!

you're welcome, the death cert will have their married surnames as "other names"
