Obviously it says Cooper.

If you were to correct the HOH's name and indicate that you were looking for information about the family and would appreciate contacts, you might hear from someone some day.

Someone at GR has Sarah Cooper 1895 New Tredegar in their family tree -- this could be the Sarah in the 1911 census.

You are probably in touch with the other person who has Ethel Cooper 1900 Monmouthshire in their tree.

Teresa, women over 30 had the vote in 1919 and over 21 in 1929. The suggestion to search on electoral register is to find any other family members, so even if not recorded, if you find Coopers at the same address they will be related. Might not work but worth a try. Hopefully an address is on the birth cert!

For us non-locals, Penarth is in Cardiff registration district, I found by searching censuses.

No Ethel Cooper married in that registration district 1925-35. An Ethel M Cooper married in Pontypridd in 1925. The Ethel in the 1911 census born in Bedwelty reg dist Q4 1899 didn't have a middle name.

Had hoped to find an obvious marriage, but unfortunately not.

I take it you got Ethel's details from your dad's birth cert. There are a few Ethels on FreeBMD. I take it that the family she grew up with knew nothing?

Maybe someone has access to the Electoral Rolls. I've never used them but might be a help.

Please could someone help. I have been trying to find my fathers mother EthelCooper .My dad was born in 1924 in Abertillery Mon she was not married so he was bought up by another family .I don,t know her age at the time only that she was a domestic ,and I think she may have moved to Penarth. Would any one know if there is any way I could find out about her
