My great grandfather John Jones died either 20th or 21st February 1912. He was born in 1937 in St Asaph and married Ann Evans in West Derby in 1863. They lived in West Derby al their life and had lots of children including Louisa (the youngest), Alice my grandmother, born in 1880, Edith, Eleanor, Sarah, Edward, Martha. I would love to find the grave, also his wife but I don't know when she died. She was still alive on 1911 census

West Derby is part of Liverpool and I'm not familiar with the area. You might have to contact all the cemetaries and hope.

You could try the Liverpool newspapers. People were more in the habit of using the obit notices then to advise where and when people should attend the funeral.

As for Ann, there are a lot of Ann Jones with deaths registered in West Derby. You could narrow it down using her age from the census against age at death. Then I think you'll have to go the same route as for John.

Hi Margaret,

You could try their (last) local Council - they usually have info on the cemeteries in their area.
