Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 251 Send Message	I am tying to find out who the parents of Sarah Watson were. Sarah was born 1840 at North Dalton, Yorkshire. Possible mother is Mary. Sarah married William Hara(h). I have located her on the 1861 census with William. Any info would help greatly, thanks.

	Do you have their marriage cert? That should name her father.

Member Since: January 2003 Posts: 251 Send Message	No have not got cert yet, as not found a record. Still checking through all notes, as William has been known as Hara/ Harah & Airey, so i'm getting slightly confused.

	Sarah's birth in Dec 1840 was probably only registered in the new year so included in the March quarter of 1841

	On the same batch number as Sarah are more christenings all with mother Mary but 2 different fathers. Benjamin and Mark. You would need to find her on 1841 and 1851 census to see which parents she is living with. I see she has named a son Mark - maybe after her father perhaps ?

	You might at least have acknowledged the marriage found , which means you can purchase the certificate which would hopefully give you her father's name and occupation - which can then be used to cross check census entries. Oh well !
