I have sent off for quite a few birth certificates and the only one that matches is a mother - Edith Ellen Cox but there is no marriage record for an Abraham Harris and Edith Cox. Also we are Jewish and Edith Cox does not sound a very Jewish name.
Abraham was a Tailor.
I don't have Harry's mother maiden name. Harry's fathers name is on his civil marriage certificate and also on Harrys death certificate.
I have been to Harrys grave which states he had a brother and sisters. There are no names on the stone.
Any help would be hugely appreciated!

What occupation did Harry give for Abraham on his marriage certificate please?

I am not sure what facts you are using to establish Abraham's parents as there are around 40 Abraham Harris entries on the 1911 census in the London area.

If you don't know Harry's mother's maiden name then you can't have Abraham's marriage certificate to get his father's name.........

Hi, I'm trying to find out information about my grandfather Harry Harris, born in 1915 and died in 1947. His father was Abraham. Cannot find his mothers name. They all lived in the East End of London.
From looking through the census its possible that Abrahams parents were Davis and Dinah Harris who came over from Russia in the late 1800's. Any help would be hugely appreciated.
