Hi

I am trying to trace the family of Alexander Carter, born Liverpool 16/1/1915, died 12/9/1944 in Italy. I know his parents were William Carter and Mary Barlow, and that he had siblings Albert, George, Elizabeth and Joshua, but not much more.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

@brummiejan - thanks for the information - on the marriage record can you tell me who the extra names are? are they the witness signatures?

Fiona - when you look up a marriage on Freebmd, you see all people on that "page". Before 1912 the surname of spouse is not displayed so there is no way of knowing who married who. The above marriage is an intelligent guess!
The only way to be 100% sure is to buy the cert.
