I would think that if she was interested enough to attend that funeral, then she would also be interested in answering a request from you asking how she was related to your Cooper family.


Tell her that you remember her attending the funeral (I trust you do?!!), and now you are doing your family tree, blah blah.

Lots of please's and thank you's of course!!

Thta would be much better than fiddling around trying to find the connection

Sorry to offend JaneyCanuck.... i do not intend picking over her life was just interested to see how we are related and if anyone can help... thats all.... She is a famous author and don't think she would be too interested in helping me peice this together, i am sure even if i got a reply she has better things to with her time...

Is Jilly Cooper a person who is living now?

If so, I'd suggest asking her, rather than picking over her personal life at this site!

Her husband and kids are named (and I see she is living) at the jillycooper site, true, but still.

Cooper seems to be her married name as according to her biography she married Leo Cooper in 1961 , cant see the marriage though??

AHHH so he is a Leonard !! her name is Jill on the record

Have you checked your grandfathers siblings? She is only Cooper by marriage so her husband would probably be the link

Hi, have now restarted my family tree after a few years off. We had a family funeral a few years ago and Jilly Cooper was there. I am trying to find out how we are related to her....

My grandads name was Leslie Cooper c 1920 and he was born in yorkshire which fits in with Jillys family......
My grandad married Hilda Tyler c1921 and they had 2 children called Carole ( My Mum ) and Brian.

Any one who can help would be great to hear from you....
