My mum was registered twice, once under her fathers name and once under her mothers married name. Parents weren't married to each other. |

For the child's birth to be registered under 2 different surnames the father should have been present at the registration. |

If the parents are not married at the time a birth is registered then if the father is present at the registration and agrees that he is indeed the baby's father the birth is registered under both the parents surnames. |

i did wonder even thought maybe adopted or fostered but then there would be a differt certificate and wouldnt be registered in two surnames?? |

yes there was two but that was in 1951,1952 and i have both of them 100% as one is my mum,but unfortunately we only learned of graces about 12 months ago |

i have grace park born in 1961 also on the same entry number grace mayes 1961 the mothers maiden name is the same-powles i have sent for the birth certificate and it state the same?? |
