Find Ancestors

I have hit a brick wall looking for my grandfather who I did not know. He was Samual Henry Jones born 1872 or 73 he appears on the 1911 census with the whole family but I cannot find him in the birth, death and marrage records. I belive he married a Francis Davis but that is all I know. He had 5 children and he came from Birmingham. Hope someone out there can point me in the right direction to discover more.

Was he married by 1911? If he was, you must know his wife's first name...........

It would be helpful if you gave us ALL the 1911 info

There are two Samuel Henrys in 1911 in Warwickshire....neither has wife named Frances

My parent was Edward Edgar aged 2, brother Bernard aged 11 Frederick aged 10 and sister Evelyn aged 7. Samual was 38 and his wife Florence was 41. Entered his name in all the search box's with no results.

I can understand not finding him births but no trace in death records, I understand he died before I was born which was 1945 so went backwards in records starting from then. Sue.Thanks for all the info.

But you said his wife was Francis! Incidentally spelled wrong, female name is Frances. You have also spelled Samuel's name wrong. Possibly a cause of your difficulty finding him.

Why,.if you KNEW his wife was Florence, did you refer to her as FRANCES?

You know Samuel's father's name...on 1911 census

Look for them together in 1881

And you wouldn't find any bmd record if you spelled his name as you have on here..........incorrectly
