As two of the most common names in the UK I've got stuck on two of my Great grandfathers and as my own father has no memory of one of his grandmothers names at all i'm a little bit lost to say the least!

My dad's father was George Hall 1915 - 1980 b. Cheshire - Father George Cyril Hall, Cheshire - it ends there! I know he has a sister but my dad can't remember her name either..

George Hall was married to Olive Jones daughter of George Jones b. 1875 Ancoats, Manchester. I have found George Jones wife's family who go back to Prices' in Wales but have no more information on George Jones and that's what I'd like to find out. He had five children with his wife Elizabeth anne (Price): Ellen Constance, Olive, Stanley, James Leslie, George Stanley. I have the 1911 census for them and an older census for Elizabeth Anne and George but nothing further back for him.

Does anyone have any tips for finding these common names? I'd love your advice!

Thanks
