Hi could some kind person help Im looking for info on my Grandfather
Hunter Robertson Young
born 1907 in Scotland died 1961
His fathers name was Thomas Young not sure of mothers name
Any help would be great

PP, are you aware the Scottish 1911 census is out on Tues 5th? Might be worth waiting for that. Otherwise you need to seek out his birth on Scotland'sPeople site, you need credits for this.

It would be worth getting some credits £6 for 30 (next week I think they are going up to £7). His birth entry will be available to view / download online. 1 credit to view search results and 5 to view register entry. Scottish birth certificates give the date and place of the parents marriage. So with a bit of luck for your 30 credits you will get his birth, his parents marriage (which gives the names of both parents and mothers' maiden surname) and his parents birth for £6 - great value!
