it is also believed that hazel was brought up by williams cousins due to him being away in the air forces and her mother leaving..... however we have no details of his cousins... this is a bit of a skeleton in the closet case ....... |

i did have a doris on my granfathers side of the family, could b she was known by her middle name ?!!? definatly someone to look into :-) thanks |

i found out that Gladys A Mills went on to marry again in 1955 to a Thomas H Lanchbery thinking this would some how help me in my search however i cant find any oither information, death certificates and wheather they had children who would know of Hazel etc ......... any advise would greatly b appreciated on how to furher my search and hopfuly result in finding Hazel :) |

found the marriage to Lanchbery giveing her surname as Clarke/MIlls/Lanchbery indicating she had been known by all 3 names. |

unsure, as Hazel herself was aware who her mother and father were and did try and get in contact with my grandfather (her dad) when he was dying but it appears he didnt want to cause upset to the family as i suppose he was brought up in a different time and my mum did not know of her exsistance. Its likely that she may have got in touch with her mother or even that the cousins she was brought up by were in fact Gladys and not my grandads, one of my great aunts was in touch with her but sadly we only found this all out after her passing...... as u no doubt can tell this is a very confusing situation. |

I have sent Nicki a possible Lanchbery birth with a slight spelling variation. Lewisham 1949 Sept. Qtr. if anyone would like to let me know what they think. |

Have received the marriage certificate of my grandad and hazels mother, and the birth certificate of hazels which states she was adopted...... Any ideas where next I can go wiv this information???? |
