army national service records 1945 onwards

Please Im trying to find the regement and the service no of a james/jimmy wiliams he was born 6/4/1926 shresbury shropshire father robert he would of been called up in 1945 onwards he was a chef I know he was stationed in westbury wilts from 1946 regards eddie

If the serviceman is alive, he must apply for the records himself.....if he can be shown to be deceased, his legal NOK can apply for the records

Hi, although the Army Records Office advise that it can take months to receive the information, I received the info I requested in only a couple of weeks.
