Hello Fiona, the first place to start is by getting a copy of her marriage certificate to get her father's name and occupation - this will help you go back.

I've got Masons in my family and it's a fairly common name and easy to trace the wrong people!

I'm trying to find out who the parents of my g.randmother were but am floundering a bit...
