I sent away for my mother's army records WW11. It cost about £30 and there is a long waiting period for them to come through. I waited over a year. I applied to Army Personnel Centre MS Support Division, Parliamentary & Disclosures Section, Historicall Disclosures Section, Mail Point 555, Kentigern House, 65 Brown Street, Glasgow G2 8EX
Phone no. 0141 224 2743

All Second war service records are closed until 2020. All is however not lost. Service records may be released to the serviceman (if he is still alive) and to his/her next of kin if he had died.
