Find Ancestors

Hi, can anyone help me find the births of children & marriage of parents (took place between 1841-51) for this family please.
From 1851 census-Dumfries
John Milburn Head 27
Margaret (nee Green) Wife 34
Peter 6
Mary 4
Jane 2
All born Dumfries
Jane Green Mother/law 84 B Lochmaben
Any help greatly appreciated as IGI seems to cover period but no luck finding them. Also how can I find marriage for Jane Green - no clues except a James Green Milburn born 1858 to John & Margaret, so maybe she married a James?
Have hit a brick wall, this is my last chance, so anyone with more experience than myself having a look would be great.

Flick Thought Scotlands People only covers from 1855, have I got that wrong?

Maureen Scotlandspeople also have the births recorded in the OPRs. They also have Catholic births prior to 1855, I think.

Thanks rootgatherer, I didn't know that. I have looked at what Family Search (IGI) has & had no luck. Will give Scotlandspeople a go.

This looks like the same family in 1871. If so the birth registration of the youngest child may give the date and place of the parents marriage.

Can't find a marriage for Jane.


However, as Rootgatherer has mentioned, if you download any of the children's birth certificates who were born after 1855, these should include the date and place of the parents marriage.
