Find Ancestors

Hi everyone,

I have hit a brick wall trying to find a marriage in Scotland between
John Anderson and Helen Reid.
Their daughter Jemima, married in 1867 in Edinburgh which is where i got their details from and cert says John was deceased at time of marriage. Jemima was born in approx 1848 by marriage age and have back tracked the dates.
Have been trying scotlands people and anc as well but to no avail.
Any thoughts what i can do next?
Any help appreciated.

Registration only began in Scotland in 1855 so Parish records before then

I doubt that Ancestry have the info.........I'm surprised it isn't on SP

Tried the parish records in sp - just found a marriage with the right names but for 1853 in Blairgowrie.

thanks, yes i found this 1851 cencus, jemima is with her grandparents, but could not find her parents listed in the same cencus.

Found the 1841 also.
Tried the IGI - only came up withthe 1853 Blairgowrie marriage. Is this one likely? As jemima was born approx 1848?

Helen Reid married George Erskine in 1855. In the 1861 Jemima is known as Jemima Erskine.
