Hi, Im trying to find my biological father.His name is John Briggs,Dob n 08/11/57-58.Last known to be living in Leeds.Dont know much more but think he has 2 sisters and a brother,Any help to find him would be great,Samantha Jeffrey nee Farmer

I think John M Briggs maybe the one.I think his dad was called Malcolm which is the middle name.Just need the date of birth though and not sure how to get it.Thanks Everyone

Alan, sorry, but I at least will report that post if it isn't deleted shortly.

Why can't everybody pay attention to the rules, let alone use a bit of common sense when it comes to personal details of third parties who don't even know they are being discussed, let alone have consented to having that info posted here?? At least some of them are not even related to this query! Why is it so difficult to use the PM system for this? These incidents are far too common here.

I don't want my parents' marriage details and the birth details of myself and my siblings posted on the internet. Does anybody else?


Samantha, it would be wise for you to delete the birthdate from your post as well. Again, the person in question has not consented to having their personal details posted on the internet.

After placing this post and contacting said families I sadly found that my father died in 2007.I'm understandably gutted.Thanks for your help

That is very sad news Samantha, and you have our sympathy. Hopefully you will be able to get to know his family.



Note that I requested review of Alan's post before replying just now, because he had not removed all the personal info about people who may not even be related. In the meantime someone has requested review of your opening post, probably because of the personal info in it. That person might have paid attention to the outcome of Samantha's search and realized that the information in her post was not problematic now.
