Christine, I've looked at the marriage record again, and the witness could be Wetherly.

If it's any help - I read the marriage witness as John Wetherly, not Wetherby !!

I wonder if this is the same person then, for his son William, he married a Caroline Weatherly and her father was John Weatherly, I did not know who the witnesses were from my info on Samuel marriage.

Hi
I'm trying to find the right dates for my 3rd great grandfather Samuel Anderson.

I believe he married Sarah Bugby in 1811 Westminster. there children are
James 1812. father Samuel is an Undertaker.
Sarah Ann 1815. father same as above
William 1817. father same as above.
Mary Ann 1819. father same as above.
George David 1821. father same as above. (my 2nd ggfather).
WIlliam married in Sept 1840 and Samuel had died by then.
George married in April 1843 with same above.

I sent off for a death cert for Samuel and I think it is the wrong one, it states he died in Feb 1840, no job stated, which I was hoping to read the work Undertaker, but he was 42yrs which would make him about 13 when he got married.

Can anyone help.
