A cousin by Marriage was once given a copy of the 1871 census with what was thought to be his great uncle. He has asked if I could find out if in fact it is his great uncle, but I have not been able to find him |

Thanks - That is interesting, so he was at the Kensington barracks before embarking for Gaza, which was then part of Egypt. I looked on genes WW1 but nothing came up. |

It looks as if my cousin saw him on the 1891 census and that is why I could not trace him. My cousin was told he was named after him but I can't see any possible relationship to this family. But as it is not my direct relation I will let my cousin know. thanks your help |

Sadly I don't have a sub for Ancestry. it looks as if I will have to push the boat out as it seems to have better info on the welsh side of my husband's family. |
