Hi Wendy

Would you be able to find Levi Smith born about 1847 in Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottingham. I have him married to Ann Turner but I need confirmation.

JoonieCloonie Report 29 Apr 2015 19:27

Hi Wendy, I wonder whether this is something you could help Yvonne with

there are 3 marriages we would like to have the details on ... especially groom's occupation and father (and occupation)

they are all after 1837 ... do the records you can access cover the registration era?

* Marriages Sep 1853
Burton Mary Basford 7b 123
CROWE Henry Basford 7b 123

* Marriages Dec 1866
Allcock Maria Basford 7b 178
CROWE Henry Basford 7b 178

* Marriages Jun 1886
Crow Henry Basford 7b 294
HICKLING Emily Basford 7b 294

Yvonne is researching for an in-law and we have found a load of info but only the marriage info will confirm it :-)

Hi Lorriane,

I have found it in my notes:
3 May 1831 at Cotgrave James Hickling and Elizabeth Smith both of Cotgrave
witnesses were Samuel Voce and Thomas Brown.

Would you like me to get you a copy, the Library has a new machine where you can save scanned copy's to a memory stick so don't have to print out or pay anything.
