Hi trying to find out if there is a family connection between William Harrison 1797 and Joseph Harrison 1817 who married a Catherine Gorse. Both are from Norbury Derbys but I cannot find a connection could be another family with the same name. Hope someone can help.

Hi Graham,

There are three trees on Ancestry who have Joseph in them also naming his parents. The trees have their first child, a daughter being born c1798 so it's unlikely they were brothers.

You could ask Derek who has a thread on records as he has been a great help to many of us on here with his Derbyshire records, he may be able to help you.

This could be Joseph's father, Joseph, who could be a brother of William.

Thanks again I have a William 1797 but so far no siblings I can prove will take a look at Joseph and with luck will see if they are brothers
