Eugenie Report 3 May 2011 14:47

I have in my possession some WWII medals and I would love to pass them on the family.
They are still in their OHMS box and I believe the name is F Pinnock.
The address looks like 27 Lansdown Road, London E11
There is a reference of (possibly) TX 563656.

Can anybody help?

Did a Google search and came across a tree for a Cross family.

http://www.terrys.org.uk/charts/c/cross202.htm

In cross chart 102 in the 1911 census is a James and Charles Cross living at 44 Landsdown Rd, Hackney, There housekeeper is Pinnock aged 40 (no forename given) born in Cardiff, Wales along with a Lilly Pinnock aged 8 (1903) born in London and a Frederick Pinnock aged 4 also born in London

This maybe just sheer coincidence. Have no access to 1911 census so am only acting on info in link

Lands down Road is on the Borders of forest gate and Wanstead and I am sure that if you contacted the local papers and Wanstead Library they would be very helpful. I used to live in Wansted and know the area very well, the library is excellent. Good luck and let us know the outcome.
