thank you ginny. that must be my great aunt and gran. there was no mention of constance“s father on the marriage certificate. i am going to try to find the census on 1911 to get my great grandparents on that side.

I think i have found my grandad“s death. It says he died in 1990 in Bromley. To be sure of this I need to know if this arthur henry Davey was born in Somerset. Do you know how I would find this and how i might find out where he is burried? I would love to visit his tomb. Thanks. I have looked online through google but cant get any info.

arthur henry is my grandad and william was my great grandfather. i have managed to go back to the early 1800s with the daveys but i cant find anyone still living.

i am at a loss with my grandmother though. she was constance wright before marriage. my mum thinks that maybe she was sisters with my great aunt ethel, who married arthur s brother harold.

in her marriage cert she is down as constance r wright, but i cant find her birth cert. and i cant find anything for ethel wright

by the way thanks for the replies. it is really good of you to help.

Theres just too many Williams on the census to pin him down before the marriage

You would need to get the marriage certificate and hope that Williams father is named

PH....anymore cat ideas ;)

I am looking for any family originally from somerset. my great grandfather was called william charles davey, born 1885. my grandfather moved to lambeth and then to croydon area. his name was arther henry davey he was born in 1910. my father was called paul davey born in brixton area in 1946. I have been trying to trace my family for years and have never found a lead on any of them.

I know I have an aunt called Carole J davey, a cousin called steven davey and a my dad had a cousin called Jonathan H davey. I think these members should still be alive. My father might even be alive too.

Any help would be immensely appreciated.
