Yes that's the problem K, i have his birth certificate from the records office, so '91 is definite, but the whole family you found seems to be them, thank you so much :-D

Birth year on census records are only a guide. Census records are normally taken at the end of March so anyone born in the latter 3/4 of a year normally appear in the census as having been born 1 year later than their actual year of birth. When searching it always pays to add +/- at least 1 year to what you know was their actual birth year.
