Find Ancestors

I am trying to find out my grandmother's parents. I cannot find her birth certifcate. I don't know if Nellie was a nickname. I know her death was recorded in 1936 Nellie M L Eley and she was married in 1899 to Edgar Eley in Maldon using Nellie M L Emeny.
She had relatives in Tolleshun'Darcy and I think lived there for sometime. I thought her parents were Abraham Emeny 1846 and Catherine Houlding 1846 but I am not sure now.
If anyone can help with the Emeny side of the family and where they orginated it would be great.

Nellie is usually short for Ellen, at least it is in my family.
