Missing 1851 censuses

Lancashire and parts of Yorkshire – some census records have been damaged by water during storage. These are mostly the Manchester area. You can still see photographs of some of the original pages, but some parts of pages have been obliterated.

I am looking for my Great,Great, Grandfather. John Taylor. Born 1808, or 1809. At Pickmere, Great Budworth, Cheshire. Or his Wife Hannah Vernon. Born June 1807. At Great Budworth, Cheshire. The Couple Married 23/05/1830. At St Mary Church, Manchester.1841 Census John was Inspector of Police, at Police Station, Chorlton upon Medlock.Lancashire .Wife and 4 Children. 20/01/1852. Birth of last Child Louisa Ann Taylor at Chorlton. John was Superintendant of Police. I cannot find John or Hannah in the 1851 Census. Believe John died 23/12/1878, at Chorlton. Hannah died between 1851, and 1861, (possibly in 1858). Any information appreciated. Peter McLoughlin. :-D
