Margaret Swales, born 1809 in Aycliffe, was the daughter of Thomas Swales (1787-1872) and his wife Elizabeth Nelson.

I was looking for a possible marriage, and there was a Margaret Swales married in Stockton in 1844 to Marmaduke Jacques (father being Thomas Swales). Several of 'my' Margaret's cousins where living in Stockton at this time, so I thought it would be here, but it seems not. However, thank you again for this help!
