Thank you Janet and Adeline, I am currently looking in IGI for the birth of George 1834 and other potential children of John and Ann so the marriage in 1833 is most appropriate.

Adeline

Adeline Report 29 Dec 2011 11:46

Thank you Chris and Janet, Emma was a 14 year late grace to the family. No wonder my 5 year spread didn't work.

I hope I will be forgiven for a new thread for Emma Grace Ellis 1848, who got a passing mention as a spouse in yesterday's thread.
I have been quizing the G.R. single line 1851 with a 5 year spread either side of Emma 1848 but there are no other children showing up. Looking at the period 1820 - 30 ish there is no potential mother for Emma but there are some fathers. My favourite is Joseph1824 but without a mother I cannot look for a marriage. There does not seem to be a death for a mother either between 1848 - 1851 so can anyone give me an explanation via the 1851 census for Emma please - or any other flash of inspiration which is currently passing me by...

Many thanks,
Frances
