Ellen Report 11 Feb 2012 19:43

I have been trying to find any info re my mother who was born on 8 November 1930 in Bow in London. She was born weighing only 2 pounds and it appears she may not have been registered. i have tried the national archives who have looked through records for area and no listing. her name was Beryl Mary mcguire. Her mother was Ellen (nellie) father James Cockburn McGuire. I know she lived in Sansom Street leytonstone when she was six but no more any help appreciated. I cannot go via her parents record as no further info held.

Cannot see a marriage for a James McGuire to an Ellen unless they married in Hackney in1936?

I wonder if your grandparents died young/split up such that you don't know who they were. Possible deaths:

Name: MAGUIRE, Ellen
Registration District: Help Surrey Mid Eastern
County: Surrey
Year of Registration: 1934
Quarter of Registration: Oct-Nov-Dec
Age at death: 41
Volume No: 2A

And

Name: MCGUIRE, James C
Registration District: Help Surrey Mid Eastern
County: Surrey
Year of Registration: 1950
Quarter of Registration: Jul-Aug-Sep
Age at death: 53
Volume No: 5G
Page No: 182

Pure guesswork on my part.

Your mother must have a story if she doesn't know about her grandparents.. Can we hear it? Unless she is still alive, of course, in which case it should be via a PM.

I gave you the the 1936 marriage and sent the 1930 birth for Beryl by pm in Aug 2010

It is only because you sent me a pm today that I realised

Why have you started another thread when you already have the info?

Please could you reply on the thread please Ellen, rather than private messages

I cannot see how my info from 18 months ago does not match what you have been given this time?

I had already pm'd her birth in the name of Moore , did you not mention that to the National Archives?
