Helen, I'm not sure how to send images in a pm. I have no problem doing it to an email address. If you care to send me your email address I can forward the images of the arrival in NY in 1924.

HI hadn't see the electorol roll and there is a death for an E lee the same qtr as Johns birth so i made an assumption which is why i put 'might be' as i didn't want anyone to discount him if he was listed as such. Thank you soooooo much everyone just the info i needed!! wooo hooo yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

SARAH YORK is elizabeths mother and she died in 1932 at 28 border road and John snr was the informant.

Not sure why you thought John Morton Lee might be a widower? This 1930 electoral roll shows Elizabeth Constance still alive:

London, England, Electoral Registers, 1847-1965
Name: John Morton Lee
Electoral Year: 1930
Parliamentary Division: Lewisham
County or Borough: Lewisham

They're at 28 Border Road, SE26. With them is a Sarah York who is on other ERs.

EDIT: I see Choccy has found them even later.
