Hi

I am trying to find where my mother Joan Ewin was living and who with in 1926 in Paddington area.

Can someone please check the electoral register?

If she was born in 1923 then she would not be on any electoral roll until after World War 2 and only people entitled to vote (people over 21) were on the electoral register.

If she was born in 1923 she would not be on a 1926 electoral register.

I see that it would appear that her birth may have been illegitimate. As it was only in 1928 that all women over 21 were registered to vote her mother if aged less than 30 may also not show up on a 1926 electoral register.

Researching:
Don't put off until tomorrow doing what you can do today. If you like doing it today you can do it again tomorrow. Be kind to your children for it is they who will decide which care home you end up in.

In 1926 her mother Louisa L Ewin was in the same household as a family named Lovelidge. I wanted to know if Joan was still with her as she was fostered at some stage.
