I too was born in Eccles - (BTW - Salford NOT Manchester!!)

My grandfather was born in eccles Manchester in 1870
His father Thomas 1835 was a blacksmith .they lived possibly in Fenton Street?
I hope that you can tell me any thing about the mother or any siblings

Not seeing a male Harrison born Eccles with a father Thomas a Blacksmith on the census records.

You need to give us your grandfathers name. HIS father names doesn't help initially

my grandfathers name was John Harrison d.o.b 1870
He married Elizabeth Alice Utton 22 April 1905 in
West Ham London.
His father was Thomas Harrison , blacksmith
in a census form I have just found that he lived in Eccleston , St Helens.
