That Alexander died at Fulham London in 1973. I don't think that one is related to our Lily. (Elizabeth)

I'm really just interested to know if Elizabeth A. Yakovleff (b 1916) died in the U.K., and if possible her mothers name. Can anyone tell me if the death found by "Wisechild" above can be expanded? Thanks.

Thanks all...I don't know the Informant to James Robbs death.

I am in contact with Madelene Bowler..it's mainly for her that i'm doing this though i'd like to know who "Lily's" mother was.

I dont think she returned to her birth country as i'm pretty sure her father ( at least) came to London and died there.

I have a sub to Scotlands people but she didn't come back there. She visited my mother (Edinburgh) in the 1950's but was sadly seen no more.

I saw James in Glasgow in 1973 which was the last I heard of him til his death in Aylesbury. She might be the "ADA" above, died 1988. Are there any more details available on that document? Lily's father was Alexander M Yakovleff.

Lungwha camp

I am trying to locate Elizabeth Alexandra Robb who was interned in Lungwha camp. She was my mother's sister and we lost touch after she left China. I was interned in Weishien camp. I realise Mrs Robb is probably dead by now but wondered if she had any relatives or if anyone remembers her and could tell me a little about her. My mother died in 1939 when I was 4 years old so have no knowledge of their lives and would love to hear from someone. Hope you can help. All the best, Madalene

Story: She was Known as "Lily" and she and James were interned by the Japanese in Lungwha camp, Shanghai from 1942 to 1945. He was in the diplomatic service and worked in Africa (Mombasa) after the war hence they travelled by ship quite a bit. James returned alone to England in 1960. That's when we lose track of her (Elizabeth ...yes her initial is A for Alexandra)

I have the marriage certificate from Shanghai consulate hence her birthdate and place is clear, 1916, Samara, Russia.

wisechild: "Ada" (Alexandra??)doesn't fit somehow though I have indications her parents moved back to London.

I don't know if they divorced though there was definitly a "frosty" period. There were no children for sure - not of that marriage anyway.

Malcolm.
Did they divorce??
If so,she could have reverted to her maiden name.
Were there any children?

Can anyone help me to locate the death cert (expected 1960 - present day) in England for Elizabeth Robb, m.s. Yakovleff b 1916 Samara, Russia and married my uncle James Wallace Robb who I belive died in Aylesbury in 1979. They married in Shanghai in 1937 and returned to the UK after the War. I think they were separated after 1960. Many thanks.
