To trace him accurately, the marriage cert is essential - it will tell you his age, as well as the info detailed above by Catherine |

I'm trying to trace my 3rd great grandfather Frederick Gammon. All I know is that he married Sarah Ogbourn in 1859 and lived at Chatham, Kent. They had a child, Frederica Alice Mary in February 1860. In 1862 Sarah remarries Richard Naylor and is listed as a widow, but i can't find a death for Frederick who I do know was a seaman in the Royal Navy when his daughter was born. |
