There are a couple of public trees on Ancestry that have the children and parents listed. i don't have access but perhaps someone could look and see if there is any more information about the parents.
The Sawyer tree is maybe the Op's tree but there is another in the name of Ingleby.

Buy the 1948 marriage cert to find her father's name (if she knew him)

Hi I am looking for information on my paternal grandmother.
She was born around 1897, not sure where she was born or her family members.

She may have married William Barnes around 1920ish, her first child Roy was born in Leeds 1922, Eric was born in Leeds in 1925, my father Dennis was born in Middlesborough in 1927 and William junior was born in Leeds 1929 and died in Leeds in 1934.

William Barnes was a commercial traveler in wireless radio's. Mt grandmother at the time of my parents marriage lived and worked at the Station Hotel in Leeds 5.

She remarried in 1948 to an Arthur Cresswell who died in the early 50's in Leeds. He was I believe a piano tuner.

Eliza lived in the Bramley area of Leeds from before I was born in 1952 until her son Roy came out of the army in 1974/75 ( he was a career soldier stationed in cyprus for some of his time) They then moved to Halton Leeds 15 where she died on 06/07/1980.

I am not 100% sure but my grandmother may have been in service before her children were born.

I also remember her talking of my great grandmother who died at a 104 in 1972, her name was Bertha Stone, not sure which side of my fathers family she was from.

Any help would be appreciated as I would love to complete my fathers side of the tree.

Thanks

Helen :-D
