Thanks for the help.

Now I know Albert James Naldrett was born 10 Mar 1908 in South Africa.

His parents were Albert Edward Naldrett born 1876 in Windsor Mews, Windsor Castle (that is the record Reggie found).
His father Thomas Naldrett was Head Groom/Footman to Queen Victoria.
His mother Sarah Smith was a servant.

From what I can gather then from the Passenger records - Albert Edward left England in 1902 and returned in 1922?

Is that correct or am I getting confuzzled?

Donna.

If the father was a British citizen, his marriage should appear in the overseas section of FMP

Squeaky020 Report 17 Aug 2012 18:23

I'm looking for any info on Albert James Naldrett born 1908 in South Africa to Albert Edward Naldrett.

I just found his baptism record so I am now going to see if I can find a marriage record for his parents to find out his mothers name.

:-)

The subscription charges are quoted in Rand......you'll need to convert to whatever currency you use to work out the cost

1 Rand = approx 76p Sterling

I was wondering if anyone happens to have a subscription to Ancestry24?

I am researching a South African branch of my tree and this site seems to be a massive resource. I do not understand the subscription fees so I am struggling.

I would appreciate if anyone is willing to do a search and possibly email me any images as well.

I know its a big ask but I'm desperate !!

Many Many Thanks.

Donna.
