Hi, I may be clutching at straws but I believe that a relative of mine missing on the 1911 census ( not with his parents) could possibly have been in the army. I have had a brief look on Ancestry ( not a subscriber) and found a John Barraclough aged 21 on the census records in the army. He apparently was in the Yorks @ Lancaster regiment. Is there a chance anyone could do a search for me. |

Hello Beverley, not finding any service or medal records for him on Ancestry or FMP. A lot of records were destroyed during WW2. |

thanks for latest replies, at least I have a a little more info to add to my John Robert Barraclough. Is there anyway I can find when he enlisted and was discharged from the army. |
