there is a connection between my great uncle Edward Anwyl Owen born 1867 Bodfari Flintshire Wales and this family but I have not been able to work it out. Can anybody assit. Edward left a valuable property to Maggie Fawchion Hammond in Caterham Surrey in 1952.
I am also interested in another family called Loveys as he gave them another property though rather earlier I think called Forge Farm Bodfari.

I now have a significant collection of press cutting showing a relationship between Edward Anwyl OWEN and Maggie Fauchon HAMMOND. They lived in a house Littlewood, Chaldon, Surrey from c1926. She is described as housekeeper but I think it much more likely she was common law wife. Edward had previous relationships and one marriage. Edward was a wealthy draper owning a string of shops across south west London and Surrey. He also had a house in N Wales which went to a love child.
He died in 1952 but she continued to live in the Chaldon house till her death in 1968. I also found his obituary in the parish magazine for Chaldon.
