Find Ancestors

I am trying to trace relatives of Clara Elizabeth Felgate nee Marsh.
DOB 1899,
She has twin sisters Audrey and Leslie born 1902 and a brother Reginald born 1904.
I have been searching for Clara for some time and finding nothing.
Clara was my father-in-laws mother,last seen in the finchley area after the break up of her marriage to Alfred Felgate.
My Father-in-law tried several times to find news of her but never found anyhting before his death in 2007.
I wish nothing more than to find her resting place and lay some flowers from her son Cyril who never forgot.

Leslie is not a female name

Do not have exact date of birth but know it was March 1899.

She was last seen in the Finchley area around 1940,I have nothing more than this to go on.
Have never been able to find divorce papers but Alfred remarried in 1944 claiming he was a widower !!.
The family shown in the reply is the correct family.That much I have been able to establish.
I probably misread the census as to the twins !!
It has all been very vague after their seperation as Clara's only surviving son has no knowledge of her after she left the family home in Islington.

Pat, for future reference - if you are going to post a request for information then first go to the "My Threads" link down the left hand side of these pages and check if you've already made a request about the same thing. If you have, then just add a post to the bottom of that thread and it will move to the front of the boards again. Saves us duplicating work already done.

As has been suggested on both threads it would be extremely helpful to have Clara Elizabeth's exact date of birth. To do this you're going to have to buy a copy of her birth certificate. We can then try searching for deaths registered by first names only with that birth date.

EDIT: I notice in that thread on the link Clara is described as the posters grandmother whereas on this one it is father-in-law's mother. If two people are sharing an account on here even more reason to check "My Threads" to see what the other one has posted!!

You probably need to buy some certificates to go further with your query. Starting with Clara's birth certificate to get her exact date of birth.

You could also try looking for descendants of her siblings.

Not seeing an obvious marriage for Leslie but the informant on his death registration may help.

From the London England, Electoral Registers, it would appear that the couple separated between 1929 & 1931 as from 1931 he was living with the lady who was to become his next wife in 1944
