I can't find any of them in the 1891 or 1900 censuses - can you help?

I know he married 11 Aug 1902 to Georgina Presdee at Bethsada Chapel Brynmawr

and was a coal miner.

1891 have you looked at the family called FONG

Think it might be Long. Could suggest that mother Sarah has remarried

You were correct with the Long's as the elder sister was living with the grandparents the census earlier .

In the 1891 census Hugh is with his grandfather Thomas Watkins b 1821 Merthyr

It has him aged 2 but it should be 12 - when looks at the image there is one of those check ticks going through the "1" and the transcriber has missed it . It states he is a Scholar,so must be of school age

Is it possible for someone to be on a census twice in the same year? because Thomas & Mary Watkins are the correct grandparents and it does say 12yrs old so he is the correct age but the presence of his sister in the census with with him his mother and the Long's Is correct too! - Help!!

I think this one is most likely to be him as his wife to be lives at 96b Worcester road as a servant and it's the right occupations for him.
