There is only one Edward who fits I think - not clear why you have attached a different 1901 census.
Here he is 1891:

Ah Jan, maybe ceri meant that she had two 1891 census records as I have a different 1891 to yours. Is your Edward S, Edward Springfield also?

OK, so there are two Edward Springfields:-
Births Jun 1876 (>99%) Hunt Edward Springfield Hollingbourne 2a _78
Births Jun 1883 (>99%) Hunt Edward Springfield Hollingbourn 2a 714
.............so that's where the confusion may have come from.
So Jan's 1891 will be the correct one.

Just a tip - someone in 1901 says they are 50. 1901-50 = born 1851 on census. If the census were taken 31st March, the person could actually have been born April 1st 1850 to March 31st 1851. 75% more likely to have been born the year before the simple maths suggests. Edward on the 1901 could have been aged just 1, or nearly 2 - born between April 1899 and March 1900

Thanks guys, so is there a way of searching ancestry electoral rolls for an address? If they lived at 66 Hockley Avenue, East Ham in 1911 can i find out if they are there in future years? Even to try and find a better idea of year of death for Edward Springfield Hunt born 1876?

Thanks Stuart, i found the 1958 as a possibility, but wasnt able to confirm. On Ivy's marriage cert it says her address was 66 Hockley Avenue East Ham (The same address her and her parents lived at in 1911) Ivy was married on 30th November 1930 and her father Edward Springfield Hunt is not listed as being deceased so i think its safe to say the 3rd qtr 1930 one isnt him.
Im pretty certain its going to be the 1958 one, but wondered if there was a way of checking that address electoral roll

Ceri - I don't think one should place too much reliance on the absence of a deceased notation on a marr cert. Here's an example of a bro & sis marrying, and Richard Hill was no Lazasus:

http://seax.essexcc.gov.uk/Default.aspx
That is the site but you have to buy a subscription to view the images. £5 a day upto £75 a year.
For parish records there isn't an index to search within the parish but if you know the parish and approximate date it is usually easy to find things.
You have to register to view the SEAX index which tells you what records they have available.
